I snuck out the door when my roommate wasn't looking so I could visit my girlfriends the mermaids and the clams. They have their own special dorms that are underwater and you can visit if you're not aquatic, but you have to shower first and wear a suit.

After you leave the shower room you walk down the steps into the warm water, which is extra slick and salty, and once you're up to your neck you just keep on going and it isn't till later that you realize you're breathing it just like air. That's when you might freak out and start choking, so you have to remember not to notice and just keep on going.

Their rooms are just like the other kids' rooms, except with shells and sunken buoys and fancy jewel encrusted pink phones. I don't know why they still have landlines but they do.

My roommate has razor-sharp icicles growing out of his eyes and mouth, and he has to continually drag them across the walls and the concrete floor to keep them ground down, because if he doesn't then our room would fill with ice spears and pierce me like a magician's assistant in a box of swords. I don't think he can even fit through the door anymore, and it doesn't look like he's going to let me near it either, so it's another night watching him pace the floor, grinding down his shards.
