So what if we can see into the future? Even if what we saw made sense, somebody would just use it to win the lottery or control other people and become king of the world or something. So I just hide in the back of my friend's van in the parking lot. You can make an appt online but a lot of good it will do you.

Even tho we didn't want a crowd everybody started to line up outside our van in the parking lot wanting a reading. Mostly at lunch but we've been out there after school too. Put up some beads and tapestries and burning some incense to give it the right mood cuz that's what people expect. Even found a crystal ball at the goodwill.

Mostly what I need is sleep because that's when the visions come. Somebody holding a bouquet of sunflowers. View of some bridges over a river overlaid on top of a plate of scrambled eggs. A brown/gray feeling holding a set of deja-vu's going back 5 years. It's amazing what people will hand over cash money for.

I saw a van at the school. That in itself was odd, and I felt inclined to investigate it. As I did that, I heard something. Using my power of communicating with objects, I asked the van about what was inside. It told me there was a fortune teller of sorts in there. That I had to see.

I wasn't short of money. I'd come from an upper-middle class family who allowed me plenty of it to waste. So I entered the van for a reading. After all, it would be interesting. I placed a few notes on the table, enough to satisfy the cost with a tip, and asked for one.
