I'm not aware of any chain letter, but it must be based on a true story, because I literally noticed these things.

Like, seriously... every time some kid gets accepted in, a member of said kid’s family gets murdered within 6 months of receiving the acceptance letter.

Several hours later.. that guy never showed up. Oh... and I turned in my report today... here’s to hoping for a good grade on it!
